500 pointsThe world section of our Media Center is rarely utilized by teachers or students. Please review the World section and submit a list of 10 books to both the Media Staff and your teacher that could effectively enhance a unit that your teacher taught this year in class. Please email lists to Mrs. Luck.
(P.S. We want to see these books get checked out & actually help you in the classroom!) |
700 pointsChoose 3 different books to read in the World Section. Please create a bucket list of places that you want to travel to and why those places appeal to you. To successfully complete this challenge, you will need to present your bucket list to your parents and the Media Center Staff. Please click below to submit your Bucket List to Mrs. Luck (make sure it has your parents signature on it!).

1,000 pointsSouvenirs are a way people remember places that they have visited. Please choose a book to read in the World section. Then be thinking about what souvenirs you might bring back home with you, if you visited this place. Perhaps you choose to read a book about a place that you already have visited, and can share a souvenir with the Media Center, that you actually have. Or, you could make a souvenir that you could sell, if you lived there. Souvenirs shared with the Media Center need a caption card to explain why that souvenir is important to your location. Souvenirs need your name on them, as all will be returned to you, after they have been used in a book display.
